Happy Holidays

FIRST I just need to start off by saying that I LOVE the holiday season! I wait for this time of year, ALL year long! I love being able to spend time with family, I love how everyone (well, almost everyone)  seems to be in a good mood, and I love looking forward to the next year. Of course I always say, "I'm gonna get into shape next year," or "I need to get better at cooking, and baking, just better at being a wife." but lets be honest, that NEVER happens. I have started decorating the house more, which makes me happy! I've started buying dish towels for every season. It makes me happy. I've also started making wreaths for the door. They turn out SOOOO cute. Even Victor likes them. I'm expecting our lives to change a lot next year. Just growing closer together, maybe our family will even grow...you never know. I'm excited to see what 2012 has in store for us.

Fall Wreath
Another reason I love the holidays, is because it gives me an excuse to totally spoil my husband. I can't wait for Christmas morning, in our OWN house. This year was hard to shop for Victor for, but I think I got everything he wanted/needed, and some things I'm hoping I'll be able to surprise him with. We'll see how it goes.

The holiday season also reminds me of what the real meaning of Christmas is, and I love it! I love the feeling of knowing that Victor and I are going to be together forEVER. I'm also happy to know that our children will be born in the Covenant. Definitely gives us peace of mind!

We had a pretty chill Thanksgiving. It was Victor's parents, his brother and his wife, and us. Wednesday the guys stayed up till like midnight playing the wii. They are VERY competitive when they get together. So they have to play till both of them wins at least once. It's kinda funny. Thursday we slept in, played with our cute little puppy, I made a buttermilk pie, which is tradition in my family, and then we went over to Victor's parents. It was so nice.

Winter Wreath
In a couple weeks we are going to Montana for my brother's wedding. I'm excited to go home, and to take Victor with me. It should be lots of fun. We'll get back on the 18th of December, just in time for Christmas. I think we're having a little Christmas while we're out there for the wedding with my family, then we'll spend Christmas day with Victor's family. We're still not sure where we're gonna do Christmas this year, but it will still be FUN! We're excited! I decorated the house the day after Thanksgiving, and everything except the Christmas tree is done. We picked one out, put the lights on, and some of the bulbs..but there will be more on there by the time Christmas comes. I'm decorating the bulbs with vinyl so when I get those done they will go on the tree. I'm excited to get it done. We're doing a blue tree this year with white lights. It's gonna look GOOOD!

Anyways, I hope you all have a good Holiday Season, and don't forget what the real meaning of Christmas is! Keep it with you all year long! :)

Joyfullness

I just have to start by saying that today has been a GREAT day! It started off not so good, but it has turned into a very good day. It started about 6:30 when Dash decided he was awake and needed to go outside. He can't just up onto our bed yet, but he tries really hard. So we woke up to him trying, and crashing into the side of the bed. Victor got up, let him out, and then came back to bed. Dash laid down for about 2 minutes, and then decided he wanted to play. We put all of his toys up at night because he just sits there and squeaks them all night long. So he started whining again till I got up with him. So I got up, took a shower, actually did my hair today, and off to work I went. It probably helps that I love my job, but today is great! At work I get to help with the money, which may sound like a funny thing to get excited about, but I can't help it. I love working with numbers, and money. Then my boss decided that it was a good day for a company lunch! Free Arby's baby! WOOO. Beats the Cup of Noodles I bring to work every day! HAHA. Then after lunch, I check my email, and to my great surprise, I had the email I had been waiting for, but was told it wasn't coming in till next week. I had a doctor's appointment Friday for my check up after my surgery, just to make sure they got all of the cells, and that it wasn't back. and everything came back NORMAL! I was so excited I almost started crying! I have been worrying about it for 3 months, and I feel like a huge brick has been lifted off my shoulders. I called Victor, but he didn't answer, so I sent Ambee a text, and then called my mom. I was just so excited. I really wanted Victor to be the first to know, but I couldn't keep it in. When I finally talked to Victor about it, he was soooo excited! I think he's been stressing about it too, even though he will NEVER admit it! Then, after I get off, I get to go home to the cutest puppy, and watch BONES! I don't think this day could get too much better!
This is the hallway before I painted.
On another note, I have been reading the "Dexter" books lately, and I'm HOOKED! I got the first couple from my sister in law last week, and I've read 1.5 of them. They are so good. Not the normal kind of book that I like to read, but, man it's good. I've been told there is a show, which I'm gonna try to get ahold of so I can watch them. I love my job, and how if I have nothing to do, I don't have to pretend to be busy, I can just sit and read until something comes up. It's so nice.

This is the hallway after I painted it!
And one more item of business. I finally have pictures of the finished dinning room, and Hallway. I finished them like 2 weeks ago, but my camera was dead, and I couldn't find the charger. So I finally found it, got the camera charged, and took some pictures to post. The colors definitely brighten the rooms up, A LOT. It's so nice to not feel like we live in a dungeon. All we need to do know, is get the kitchen and the bathroom painted, and then we'll be finished, upstairs anyways. We still have the horrible colored rooms downstairs, but we'll get to those when we actually need to use them for something. Maybe a guest room after we have a kid? I dunno yet! I'm sure we'll figure it out. Victor has taken over 2 of the rooms down there, and is trying to take mine over too. He's got his workout stuff in one room, which is painted the purple and green from Barney. YUCK. He wants to paint a runner and bike rider on the walls down there. We'll see what happens. We have a room that is Orange and purple, and another one that is lime green. So there is lots of work to do down there when we get to it.
Dining room after I painted!
Another hallway after I painted.

I hope you have a great day as well! :)))

Thoughts

Lately I've been thinking, A LOT about some things. Some of them matter, and some of them don't.

Working where I do, Death is something that we deal with. Kinda. We don't actually deal with people dying, but their loved ones that come in to order them a monument. We deal with lots of emotions, and grief. It got me thinking the other day about how precious life is. Sometimes its hard to be so thankful for the lift you have, and the trials you have in your life, but I would much rather take my trials over some of those that come visit me at work.
For example, I had a family come in a couple weeks ago that are making a monument for their 7 month old son, who got caught between his crib and the mattress, and suffocated on his blanket. I can't imagine losing a child, especially that young. but the thing that amazed me, while she was designing her son's headstone, she told me that I NEED to have a baby. CRAZY! I don't think I would be able to tell someone that, right  after burying my child.
These last few weeks have been sort of emotional for me. Lots of decisions are being made about our future, and it scares me. I know I've always wanted a baby, but now that the time is coming that we're gonna start trying for one, I'm scared. I'm TERRIFIED that my pre-cancerous cells are gonna keep coming back, and they are going to have to keep doing surgery. The more times I have the surgery done, the more my chance of being able to carry a baby to full term, if at all, goes way down. We have decided to wait till a couple check ups come back clean before we start trying, which is smart, but I feel like the longer we wait, the closer I get to not being able to carry our baby. I'm torn. I'm so grateful for my husband, and for the Priesthood he holds, and for the promptings he receives for our family. I've learned to put my complete trust in him, and just go with it.
Some of the less important thoughts include, what the heck is for dinner, when am I going to get our house painted, and how are we going to afford to do all the decorating ideas I have in this little head of mine.

On another note, tonight I'm super excited to be carving pumpkins with some friends! It's gonna be TONS of fun! I'm making chicken wings for dinner, and we'll probably do a little drinking...of the MTN Dew that is!

oh... and I'm glad there is spell check on this thing cause my fingers aren't working right! ;)

Another one bites the dust!

Well, We've finished another room in our house, Finally. We started this room the day before we moved in, and after a Lo-ot of work, IT'S FINISHED! WOOOO! We finished our master bedroom last night around 10:30ish. It looks so nice. It took a lot to get it there, but we're done! When we moved in the walls were all this blue-green color, and one of the walls had a huge chunk of the wall paper removed, so we thought we would removed the rest of the wall paper and just start over on it....little did we know what we were in for. After we started removing it we realized that there was about 6 layers of wall paper, a couple layers of paint, and another layer of wall paper! Now, the house was built in 1941, and we're pretty sure this is the original wall paper that we were trying to remove. It wasn't easy, at all. We bought all sorts of chemicals, razors, and sanders to try to get all of the layers off. We had about 12 people that came to help us. and I'm so glad because we couldn't have finished it when we did without everyone's help. THANKS to those of you that came to help! After spraying chemicals that burned our skin to try to get it off, and sanding 1.5 walls, we decided to just razor it off with razor scrappers. It was a huge project that we weren't expecting. Needless to say, the rest of the rooms in our house, the wall paper is STAYING! I'm not going through that again!
Anyways, we painted our room Red and White! It was kinda a pain in the butt! I painted the Red walls first, let them dry, and then taped them off so I could paint the white on the other walls and the ceiling. Well after I painted the white walls, I started taking the tape off, and it started peeling the red off, in HUGE chunks. Not on the edge where I had just painted, but under the rest of the tape. So I had to go back and re paint all of the edges, and the trim, which totally defeated the purpose of taping them off because then I got Red on the white and white on the Red. I was about ready to just throw the cup of Red paint I was using on the White walls and call it good last night. I was so frustrated. I usually don't even take the time to tape it off, and now I know why. Ok, so that's probably not the reason, it's probaly more along the lines of me being lazy, but still. I wasn't very happy! But despite the issues I had, It looks pretty awesome if I do say so myself! We ended up scrapping the ceiling as well because it had the popcorn stuff on it, and I knew I would get paint on it, so we just took it off...but then we had to wash the ceiling before we could paint it! Such a pain....but it turned out awesome as well!  I'm excited to move everything in tonight and see what it's gonna look like with the pictures and other stuff on the walls. The white walls right now look really boring, but once we get everything put in, it's gonna look awesome! I'm going to post some pictures of the final walls without anything moved in, and then I'll post some of after everything gets moved in probably tomorrow or Thursday! I'm very excited to have this room done. Now I can work on our scrapbook, and slowly work on painting the other rooms that need to be painted...and trust me, there's A LOT of them!

Our Home

So, I know that I've been promising some pictures of our new house, and here are a couple! We don't have too many yet, but we're still doing LOTS of work. We have finished one room so far, the living room, and we're still working on the master bedroom, which, if I may say, totally sucks! I'm about ready to just take a baseball bat to the walls, and make Victor put them back up! haha We are peeling layers of wall paper and paint off before we can paint it. but when we're finally done with it, It's going to look SOOOO good!

Our family is growing!

our little no name
No...I'm not pregnant...I wish, but not even close! haha

on Friday Aug 26 we got the cutest little puppy. he's a little English Springer! Victor is going train him for Search and Rescue! He is such a sweet little puppy....although he's sorta a Pain In The Butt! I want to call him MR. PIB! We still haven't come up with a name for the little guy. We want him to have a name after his personality, BUT since he sleeps the whole time we're with him, We haven't seen too much of his personality!

We have him in a little 4 Foot by 4 Foot pen, and no matter what we do, he gets out of the thing. He's just a little too small for it. While he's in the pen he does nothing by cry and whine. Which is why he sleeps while we're actually with him, and have him out of the pen.

This is what happens when we spend time with him!
Last night we thought we were making progress since we both slept pretty much all night, and we were waken up by his yelping, but then when I opened the bedroom door this morning, he was laying outside our door. I'm not sure how long it took him to get up the stairs since he is still too small to really be able to do them, but there he was. So I took him into one of our extra rooms, that just happens to have a spare bed in it, and he goes to the bed, and falls alseep...instantly! I think he's gonna be a good little pooch, once he gets over the, being able to get out of the pen, stage! He will eventually be an outside dog, but he's only 6 weeks old right now, so we don't want to leave him outside alone yet. Here are some pictures of the little guy. We haven't come up with a name for him yet, so if you have any ideas, please throw them at us!

amazement

Hello friends and Family! Thanks for visiting!

These last couple of weeks I have experienced lots of HAPPINESS, lots of PAIN, and lots of STRESS. Let me explain!

Happiness- We bought our first house and got moved in! It feels so amazing to actually own the house we're
in so we can fix it up, and not worry about what the landlord is going to say. We have done lots
of work on the house, and there is still lots more to be done. I will post before and after pictures
as soon as we complete at least 1 of the rooms. Its been so much fun to be able to do these
projects with my husband, even though it really feels like nothing is going right...its fun to be able
to do them together! We're re-finishing our hardwood floors in the living room and dinning room
as well as having to peel like 6 layers of paint and wall paper off the walls in our master rooom.
We are getting there though! We each have our own projects, and then the ones we are doing
                    together! L.O.V.E it!
Pain- The night before we moved into the house, Victor had to take me to the ER with Kidney Stones. The
Pain started at about 10:30 while we were moving a load over to the new house, and just got worse
until about 12:00 when Victor gave me a blessing, and then was prompted to take me in. I couldn't
stand up straight, and was screaming in pain. When we got to the ER it took them about an hour
before they could give me anything, and I wasn't very nice about it. The stones passed on Monday
but not before 2 days of lots of pain, pain pills, and throwing up. Not a fun way to move into a new
house! But we're in and loving it!
Stress- Last Friday, August 19, I had to have Victor drive me down to Cedar City to have a procedure
done to remove some pre-cancerous cells off my cervix. I was so out of it, I don't remember too
much, but I do know he took me to Cafe Rio after. They had me on Loritab, and Valum. Not a
good mixture for a lightweight like me! Everything went well during the procedure, and they got
all the cells removed. I have to go back in in a couple of weeks for a follow-up, but things should
be good. I was so grateful for my mother and father in law for coming over, helping with the house
helping cook, and clean! I'm so lucky!

The reason I titled this post AMAZEMENT is because 2 weeks ago I was totally LOVING life, then I got the call from the doctors saying they found these cells, and my world just did a total 180. I was scared that they wouldn't get all the cells, and just scared for the procedure itself. It's crazy how life can change so freaking fast.

OH WELL!!!!! I still have the most amazing husband, and I know I get to be with him, FOREVER...no matter what happens!

SOOOOOO much going on

Bryce Canyon

ok...so I sorta fail as a blogger...but I'm hoping that once you hear what has been going on, you might forgive me....if not, you can come visit, and there might be brownies! (Brownies have helped bribe people for the past couple weeks...still hoping they will work)

Victor & The Duke

alright....first of all, the Montana trip has been postponed due to mom being in the hospital again. We're hoping to be able to go out in October maybe...but we're not really sure now. I can't wait to see my nephew...and I'm pretty sure I would be considered one of the WORST aunts in history since I haven't seen him yet, and he was born the end of February. Instead of Montana Victor and I decided to celebrate our anniversary early and take the 3 days and go to the Grand Canyon. I went once when I was little with my grandma and poppy, but I couldn't remember ANYTHING about it. So since we live pretty close to it, we decided to take off. It was an amazing trip. We left Sunday morning, and went down to Bryce Canyon again, but we did some hiking this time. It's so pretty there. After we did Bryce Canyon, we drove down to Kanab, UT. Just a small little town right on the Utah, Arizona border. We went to the "Little Hollywood" museum there. It was pretty cool. It had a bunch of old Western movies sets, that were used in real movies. They included some sets that had John Wayne, and Clint Eastwood in them. And even though I've never seen any of the movies, Victor was pretty excited about them. He had to get his picture taken with "The Duke" just to show off!

Grand Canyon

Then Monday we drove the 1.5 hours to the Grand Canyon. I felt like a little kid on Christmas morning. The closer we got to the visitors center, and to the actual Canyon, the more excited I got. I got butterflies, and I was all jittery. Victor was laughing at me, but I was just so excited! I took hundreds of pictures, just because I wanted to bring as much home with me as I could. We did a little hiking there too, and we found this Wedding Site. They actually do real weddings at this spot, that overlooks part of the Canyon. It's pretty neat. We spent most of the day there, taking pictures, hiking, taking pictures, driving, taking pictures, talking, and taking pictures. I can't wait to blow some of them up, and frame them. I'll be famous in my own mind! haha.

Wedding Site, where the guests would sit

Mountain Sheep

After the Grand Canyon we decided to go to Zions, since that's where we went on our Honeymoon, and we didn't have to be home till Wednesday. We drove the Zions that back way, and saw some Mountain Sheep right next to the road. It was so cool. We could have pet on of them, if they liked us! Then we went to St. George to see Lori, and the girls! It was so fun to see them. Those girls are so dang cute!
On Tuesday we decided to go back to Zions to do some more hiking. We hiked up the Narrows, which is the Virgin River. There were some spots in the river where I thought I was going down. Since I'm so short, I couldn't reach the bottom...and I just kept trying to float away. It was lots of fun though. Then we came home, cause we still had lots going on!

Wedding Site where the Bride and Groom would stand

Grand Canyon

When I say lots going on...what I really mean is, WE BOUGHT OUR FIRST HOUSE!!!!! That's right...we're finally home owners. I love our house! Right now we're painting, and still trying to move in. We closed last Tuesday, got the keys Thursday, and started moving Friday. However, we had a little set back when Victor had to take me to the ER Friday night with Kidney Stones. These dang stones just don't leave. They like to tease me, making me think they are gone, but NOOOOOO they're just playing. We finally got everything moved in on Saturday. It's so stressful not knowing where anything is, but it feels so nice knowing that its ours, and we can do what we want with it.
I also got to quit Wal*Mart, and go back to work full time at Rick's Richfield Monuments. I LOVE this job. I get to play on the computer working on Custom Artwork, working on people's headstones, and picking their stencils. It is really such a fun, different job. I love it!

Anyways, that's pretty much everything going on with us. I hope you're all doing well!!!! :)

This Summer

Hello Friends and Family!!!!
Sorry it's been so long since I've posted! Things have been CRAZY....but SOOOO much fun!!!
Here's the rundown of the "summer" so far! I put quotes around "summer" since it's been raining and cloudy since April....and it's only been the last few days that it's been nice here!

Anyways, I got hired on at WalMart as a Cashier...which is fun. It's so nice to get out of the house and actually meet friends! I told them I wouldn't work Sundays and I didn't want to work past 9:00 PM....and I haven't had to yet! It's been great!

May 9th was Victor's Birthday! That night we had a nice dinner (yes, I actually made a full dinner, and not just the main dish), then the next Sunday we had a little party, with cake and ice cream. We had his parents come over, and one of our friends from Provo came down! It was nice to see him!

We also went to Bryce Canyon last weekend. It was so nice! I remember growing up and thinking I wanted to go there some day! It was soooo pretty! We hiked around a little bit, but it was super windy so we didn't do too much! We're also talking about going to the Grand Canyon and to Zions here pretty soon. I went to the Grand Canyon when I was really little, but I don't remember it too much!

Last week I made a trip up north to see my grandma!!! Oh...I miss my family lots! It was so nice to see them...even with all the drama going on!!! My thoughts and Prayers go out to my Nana!

oh...and the best part....WE PUT AN OFFER IN ON A HOUSE this week! We're waiting to hear back if they accepted it or not!!!! We'll see! keep your fingers crossed!
Click here to see the house, and let me know what you think!!!!!!

I hope you're all doing well!!!!

What have we been up to....?

WELL!!!! We've been up to  A LOT....of no good. HAHA Just kidding. We've been busy with work, trips, family, and US! These last couple months have been CRAZY!!!! I feel soooo cut off from the world these days, but things are getting better!
I ended my job last week....and I was back to doing nothing this week. Well...almost nothing. i finally cleaned our house that needed it, got totally caught up on the Laundry, Caught up on my sleep for the first time since I started working, and spent some long overdue time pampering myself!

Victor Racing
Victor was busy with his BMX racing. He's loving it. He did crash a few weeks ago, and tore some muscles in his back. He couldn't move his back for about 2 weeks. Poor guy...but he's still enjoying it.

We have been super busy trying to find the perfect house for us to start our family in. House hunting is lots of fun, but also a little stressful. Especially when we were both working our butts off!

I made some GOOD friends while I was working at the MART, and I miss seeing them and laughing with them every  day, but it sorta nice to not have to get up at 4 and 5 in the morning. I've turned into a horrible morning person since we've been married!

Dad, Victor, Me & Mom at Dinner
We had family come visit us in March...My parents came down for a weekend, and Victor's sister Lori and her husband Aaron came to visit! We went bowling with them, and had a great time! Victor and I have been bowling a lot lately...we usually go every Monday night since we bowl for free. In fact we decided to get bowling balls for our birthdays! I'm so excited! I got a pink one (Of course) and Victor got on that smells like grape (I think). I laughed at him, but it is a pretty sweet ball!!!
Lori & Aaron

Tonight we are going up to Mona (about an hour and a half drive) to watch the UFC fights with some friends! I'm so excited to see them! Its been a while since we've seen them, or hung out with them. It should be a good time!

I hope you are all doing well, and that you enjoyed the Easter weekend!!! :)

B.M.X

This is gonna be a quick post!!!

Victor has decided he wants to race BMX bikes! He's always been into bike racing, whether it is Mountin, Road, and now BMX! Yesterday was the first time he had ever ridden on a BMX track, and he didn't do too bad. His first heat he decided to take it easy so he didn't give me a heart attack and crash! The second heat he picked it up a little bit and got 3rd! Not too bad for his first time! We have another race today, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he doesn't crash today!!! Good Luck Husband!!!

Holy Crazy

Hello Everyone,
I feel like it's been forever since I've been able to post. I'll try to make this a short post, but there's lots to post about, so hang in there!!!!

On the 21st, I started working at Wal*Mart. I was so nervous to be working full time again, scared that I wouldn't get out of bed on time (I have to be there at 7 AM) and worried that I wouldn't like it. I talked to Victor about it, and he, of course, reminded me that I needed to have a good attitude about it. So when I woke up, and went in, I decided to make the best of it. The people I work with are AWESOME. Well, most of them are. There are some that are frustrating to work with, but they are good people. The first couple days were hard because even our bosses didn't exactly know what we were supposed to be doing. One would tell us to do one thing, and then the other would come and tell us not to do that, and to do something else. It was so frustrating...but now we got it figured out. Me and a couple other girls have been put in charge of some things, and then just left to finish it by ourselves, and it's so nice. It's nice to be trusted to do it right the first way, and it's nice to not have the bosses watching over our shoulders every step of the way.  Today we were working in the baby section, and at first it made me so baby hungry, but then they put us in the nursing section, and that made the hungriness leave. Victor was very glad for that. :)
I've struggled a little bit with the house work and cooking and cleaning and stuff like that, but I'm learning to deal with it. This week I have been so emotional and moody, but it's getting better. I'm starting to enjoy the work more, and getting out of bed isn't so hard when we go to bed early. It makes me wonder how I got up this early when I went to bed at 1 or 2 AM. HAHA. Oh well.

Saturday was sorta a sad day. Victor was up at Fish Lake doing Search and Rescue training, and I stayed home and cleaned our house that DESPERATELY needed to be cleaned. So while I was cleaning I decided to change Blue's (our fish) water. After I changed it he was going crazy in the bowl. Swimming into the rocks, and the side of the bowl, and then an hour later I picked up his bowl so I could dust under it, and he didn't move. He was gone :( I almost cried while I flushed him down the toilet. It was a sad day.

I found out that my parents are coming to visit in March! I'm so excited! WOOOOO!

Also....Jake and Heather had their baby! YAY! He's so stinkin cute! I can't wait to meet the little guy. I'll post pictures of him a little later! They named him Benjamin Andrew Granneman. He was born on 2-24-11. CONGRATS!!!!!

So that's a little of these past couple weeks! I'll try to get on here more often to post more stuff!!! I hope everyone is doing well!!!

Valentine's Day

First of all, I just have to say that I love, LOVE LOVE Valentine's Day!!! A few years ago I couldn't stand the day. I had never had a good one before I started dating Victor, and he has made the 2 we've been together, AMAZING!

Victor's Basket
So...I was going to finish Victor's gift Saturday while he was at work, that way I wouldn't be interrupted when he came home from lunch...BUT he had planned a snow shoeing trip, and he wanted me to go with him, so all of the things I had to do on Saturday, got put on hold. BUMMER. But I just figured I could do it Monday morning while he was at work, so I wasn't too stressed. Monday I woke up, and made heart shaped pancakes...well I tried to make them, but they didn't turn out too well. haha, oh well. it's the thought that counts...RIGHT?! Anyways, I went and checked my phone and I had a message from my Friday job asking me if I could come in because the other girl was sick. I started to get VERY stressed. I had to much to do, and not a lot of time to do it in. I called him back and told him I could come in, but I had things I had to do that morning, and I could come in after lunch. He said that was okay, so I hurried and got dressed, and then started running around trying to get Victor's gift done. I had some ideas, but i wasn't exactly sure what I was going to do, but Wal*Mart and Dollar Tree to the rescue! I made him a gift basket that had a bunch of things he likes in there. It had a puzzle, a SUDOKU book, some cookies I made, and some other candies that he likes. I ended up bringing everything to work to put it all together. I was so excited to give it to him when he got home from work.
My Wonderful Flowers
When he did get home I gave him the basket, but he didn't open it right away...he took me out to dinner! YAY for not cooking, and not cleaning up! I was so excited! We went out to Hoovers up by Marysvale. it was SOOOO good. Then we went to a redbox and got 2 movies for FREE~!!! WOOOOO and then we also went bowling for FREE!! Not a bad Valentine's day date since we only paid for dinner!!! Then on the way home we drove around looking for more houses to look at, and then went home. When we got home there was a package on the doorstep, and he said "it's about time it was delivered." When I opened the box there were BEAUTIFUL flowers in there. Tulips! They are so pretty! It was such an amazing night. I'm sooo spoiled!

Anyways, these last couple weeks we've been going to the gym, and it's been fun. We like being able to go together, and I'm getting better at the running thing. I still haven't lost any of the weight I want to, but hopefully it will happen soon. I'm getting a little discouraged, but Victor's right there to cheer me on!

Well...I should get back to work. I start working at Wal*Mart on Monday, so I'll try to post as much as I can from now on.

Have a WONDERFUL weekend! :)

The Day of Love

Hello Wonderful people!

This week has been sorta an interesting one. But first...I NEED HELP!
As you all know Valentines Day is on MONDAY...and I don't know what to do for my husband. We agreed that we weren't really going to do anything this year since things are a little tight, but I can't help it. I love telling him that I love him, so Valentines day has become one of my favorite holidays. I'm thinking about MAKING him a gift basket full of stuff he likes...but it has to be CHEAP.He loves homemade cookies and brownies, but we don't have the stuff to make them. I was going to go to the Dollar Store and get some things to put in it, but I'm not sure what. And of course there will be mushy stuff, like a coupon for a massage, and what not..you know, the normal mushy married stuff. So if you have any ideas I would GREATLY appreciate it!!! Thanks in advance! :)

So, now to this week! Lets see....it's not really as eventful as I thought it was. haha. I guess when I actually have things to do, it feels super busy compared to me doing nothing!
Victor has decided he's going to run a marathon in April, so in order for him to get into shape we GOT GYM PASSES! Finally! We've both been dying with it being winter and not being able to get outside and do much. So Wednesday we went to the gym for the first time in forever. It was so fun to be able to do it together. I'm so out of shape it's horrible, but it's fun to work on it. He jumped on the treadmill and ran like 4 miles, and then complained how hard it was. MADE ME SICK! right now I struggle to run 1 mile. BLAH! then we did weights and what not. It was SOOOO fun. We're going back tonight, and I can't wait. While we were there I decided to weigh myself...BAD idea. I weigh 5 more pounds than I thought I did, and I blame Lori, my sister in law. haha. We were at her house this weekend for a baby blessing, and when I came back I had gained 5 pounds. haha, Anyways, I'm gonna get down to my goal weight before the end of the summer. Wish me luck.
I also had my orientation at Wal*Mart this week, and it was HORRIBLE!!! It took like 6 hours, and it was all the same stuff over and over again. LAME! Oh well, we have it figured out that we can save at least 2000 extra dollars while I'm working there, so its worth it.
Anyways, that's our week! I hope you all had a great week. And remember to tell all of the people you love, that you love them!!!!

We're Grown Ups Now

THATS RIGHT!!
We're house hunting again, and it's soooo much fun! I love driving around looking at houses we might possibly be able to buy. We try to guess how much they are asking for it, and we're NEVER right! haha.
Our contract with our house now is up in July, and we're wanting to buy a little starter home so we can paint (when I say we, I mean I), plant grass (our backyard now is just dirt and weeds), and call it ours! We are probably gonna start talking about actually having a baby around the same time, so we're looking for a house that we can keep warm in the winter (our house now is so old we have it set to 58, cause even when its set higher than that, it doesn't get warmer), and a house that I can put a nursery in! I'm so excited! We've found a couple that we like, that would actually be less a month than we're paying in rent right now, but they are older houses that don't have new windows, which means a super high gas bill. So we're still looking. We found a Town Home that is super nice, it's a 3 BD 2 BA but it would be just like living in an apartment, and it doesn't have a yard, which means still no puppy. :( So for now, we drive around looking at houses we're not gonna buy, but we love having the time we can spend together just driving and looking. We eventually want to be in one of the smaller towns on the outskirts of Richfield, but we're pretty much only looked in Richfield so far. We've sorta drove around the outer towns, but not really. We only have Sundays with day light that we can go look, and looking for a house in the dark is harder than you would think.
Here are some of the links for some of the ones we've looked at so far. Leave your comments and tell me what you think of them. They are nothing too exciting, but we're exciting about moving!!!
There are just a couple of the ones We've been looking at.

Anyways. I got a job yesterday. Working at Wal*Mart, just temporarily. They are remodeling the store down here, and they need people for about 3 months to help with it. So I'll be working full time for a few months. I'm excited...sorta. I'm not that excitied to be working at Wal*mart, but I'm excited to have a job and to not be sitting at home by myself all day long!

Well, I better get going for the week! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! :)

6 MONTHS!!

Monday will mark Victor's and my 6 Month anniversary! I can't believe it! WOOOO! Time has gone by way too fast! Here's a recap of our first 6 months as a married couple!
  • We had an adventurous wedding night! (get your head out of the gutter!) When we got to our hotel, there wasn't anyone working. So we walked around for a half hour till we found a number to call. Turns out we had to drive across town to check in. Then we went to get Wal*Mart to get something to take back to our room with us, and it was closed. Wal*Mart, closed at 10:30 on a Saturday night. HUMPH! We finally got back to our room, and discovered that the only bed we had was a pull out bed from the couch, and there were no pillows! AWESOME room! haha
  • I got a bladder infection on our honeymoon as well. NO FUN!
  • We moved into our first house together. It's a nice house, but we can't wait to buy our own house so I can paint!
  • September brought lots of stuff outside! We love being outdoors, fishing, camping, hunting, bike riding...okay the last 2 are more Victor than me, but I support him, and even go with him! My parents came to visit, and so did some other friends! We also went to Vegas for his work! It was lots of fun
  • We went on a camping/fishing trip...minus the fishing part. The whole point of the trip was to go fishing, but then we forgot our poles in the garage! It was still fun though. We took the long way home and saw lots of cool mountains and stuff.
  • We had our first holidays together! It was amazing! I love the holidays, but they are even better when you get to spend them with the one person you love more than anything in this world!!! I also got my first kiss at midnight on New Years Eve! I was so excited!
  • I started working Friday's only...which is nice, but I want more! I sound self fish, but I do. I can't stand sitting at home all day long anymore. I need something to get me out of the house!
  • Victor taught me how to drive a stick shift! I was so excited! Now when he takes his truck to work, I can go places cause I can drive his car, which is parked behind my car! haha
  • Victor got onto the Sevier County Search and Rescue with his dad! He's so excited! They have meetings twice a month, so I get to hang with the Mother-In-Law while they are gone! We have too much fun.
  • I also taught myself to do a few crafts, and I'm loving them. I wish I was more of a crafty person, but so far, I love what I taught myself! It keeps my hands busy!
That's all I can think of right now...but lets just say, these last 6 months have been the greatest of my life, by far! I am such a lucky girl to have a husband like Victor! He's so good to me!

Orem Trip

This week I was able to make a trip up North (Orem) to spend some time with friends and family. I got to do nails, visit, eat, visit, eat, visit, and eat some more....it was wonderful. I missed my husband while I was up there, but it was worth it just to be able to have some time to visit with the people I miss the most! I didn't take any pictures, and I'm very angry at myself, but oh well. Stay tuned cause there are some awesome stores that came out of this trip.
Tuesday
When I got up there, I did my sister-in-law's nails. It was so fun just to be able to sit and visit and be girly for a couple hours. I'm not sure they turned out all that well, but practice makes perfect...right?! Thanks katie for being a test dummy! :) Then I went and visited with a friend that I hadn't seen in a couple years, and it was SOOOOO good to see her. She has 2 sweet little kids, and they are totally adorable. It had been far too long since we got to visit! I then went to the mall to see Nana!! While there I decided to stop by the Verizon store, just to look at the phones they had, because Richfield doesn't have too many good ones that you don't have to have the data plan for. I was just planning on looking, cause my contract with T-Mobile wasn't up till the 3rd of Feb....but....that didn't turn out the way I planned.
Phone Story

Victor and I were planning on putting me on his plan with Verizon since my t-mobile coverage down in Richfield was horrible, and we could save lots of money a month by doing a family plan. Victor has the internet on his phone, but I've never had it, and I didn't really want it, cause we're getting the internet at the house, and it didn't make sense for us to be paying for it on both of our phones, and at the house. So I stopped by the Verizon store in the mall, and actually found a phone that I really liked that didn't require the Data plans. The phone was $100.00...so I said NO WAY!!!! But....the girl looked on her computer and said that it was on speciel FAR (Free after rebate)...so that day it was $50.00 + $50.00 Mail in rebate...so FREE! I was getting a little more excited, but I knew that if I was going to call Victor and ask if I could do it, I would need more ammunition to throw at him...so I told her about the $50.00 cancelation fee from t-mobile I would have to pay if I canceled early...and so she said she would call her manager and see if they could do anymore. So she called one, and left him a message...she called another one, and he said to give me $15.00 off the phone...so now we're down to $35.00 for a $100.00 phone....not too shaby....but hold on, cause it gets better. She then said she could by my old phone from me for $10.00 so now we're down to $25.00 for the phone, and then the other manager called back and told her to give me $25.00 off the phone instead of the $15.00 off...so we were down to $15.00 for this phone + I still got the $50.00 Mail In Rebate....I was sold! I called Victor and asked him if I could do it, and told him we were pretty much making 30 some odd dollars if I bought the phone that day...so he told me I could! wooooooo!!!! I was so excited.  So, now I have this awesome phone that I totally love, and I don't have to deal with t-mobile anymore. Granted we still have the pay the stuped cancelation fee...but the rebate card will take care of that! WONDERFUL!!!!!!

Then that night Nana took me out on a date!! It was so nice to be able to sit down with her and just talk. I miss talking to Nana...but it's soo nice to be able to go up and see her when I can. Then I went to the Flash game with Anna, Aaron, and Marci! It was so fun to see them! The game was great the first half...and then it got really bad the second half. The Flash coach got kicked out...so we left with about 2 minutes left so we could beat the traffic, cause  we knew there was no way they would win!

Wednesday

Wednesday I got to sleep in, which was nice since I have major problems falling asleep without Victor next to me...and I was on the couch. I ended up taking half a sleeping pill at like 1:00 so I could fall asleep. Anyways, so I got up, and went and did my running around that I needed to do. I brought up like 25 movies to take into FYE to trade in...and got SCREWED!!! They only took like 12 of them casue the other ones had writting on the covers....so I took the rest of them to Graywhale to see what they could give me for them..and they took them, but we didn't get very much for them. So I went up there with 25 movies and came home with 2...but oh well. We got the ones we wanted so I was happy. That night I went to the Provo Temple for a long overdue session, and it was very interesting. The lady in the witness couple started her period and bled all over her dress, and the chair she was sitting in, so they had to stop the session till the could get the blood cleaned up. The lady didn't come back into the session, but they still put the whole thing in hold for about 30 minutes to get everything cleaned up. I felt so bad for her. How embaressing would that be? Poor lady. After the temple I went to dinner with a friend, and then we went back to her house to just chill and talk! It was so nice to be around friends again. I have a couple friends down here, but they work during the days so its hard to be able to do anything with them.
Thursday
I went out to lunch with another friend, and then drove home. It was soooo good to see Annie, and it was wonderful to be home again. I was so excited to see Victor again. I'm such a wuss when I'm away from him.

Anyways, sorry this is such a long post, but it needed to be said! I hope you had a good week!! :)

Holiday pictures, and Capitol Reef

I finally got my holiday pictures put on the computer, so i thought while I'm up north, and can't sleep without my husband, that I could do something productive while I'm up all night. The holidays were so much fun this year....but I missed my family. The first couple pictures are Thanksgiving, and then we'll go from there.

3-D Glasses...awesome!
This last Saturday we had some friends come down and visit us. It was so nice to have company. Victor took the day off, and we drove out to Capitol Reef National Park! It was so nice. Since it's January there weren't very many people there, so we got to enjoy it even more. Lots of fun. We love going to National Parks and enjoying the outdoors. Here are a few pictures.
