Our family is growing!

our little no name
No...I'm not pregnant...I wish, but not even close! haha

on Friday Aug 26 we got the cutest little puppy. he's a little English Springer! Victor is going train him for Search and Rescue! He is such a sweet little puppy....although he's sorta a Pain In The Butt! I want to call him MR. PIB! We still haven't come up with a name for the little guy. We want him to have a name after his personality, BUT since he sleeps the whole time we're with him, We haven't seen too much of his personality!

We have him in a little 4 Foot by 4 Foot pen, and no matter what we do, he gets out of the thing. He's just a little too small for it. While he's in the pen he does nothing by cry and whine. Which is why he sleeps while we're actually with him, and have him out of the pen.

This is what happens when we spend time with him!
Last night we thought we were making progress since we both slept pretty much all night, and we were waken up by his yelping, but then when I opened the bedroom door this morning, he was laying outside our door. I'm not sure how long it took him to get up the stairs since he is still too small to really be able to do them, but there he was. So I took him into one of our extra rooms, that just happens to have a spare bed in it, and he goes to the bed, and falls alseep...instantly! I think he's gonna be a good little pooch, once he gets over the, being able to get out of the pen, stage! He will eventually be an outside dog, but he's only 6 weeks old right now, so we don't want to leave him outside alone yet. Here are some pictures of the little guy. We haven't come up with a name for him yet, so if you have any ideas, please throw them at us!

amazement

Hello friends and Family! Thanks for visiting!

These last couple of weeks I have experienced lots of HAPPINESS, lots of PAIN, and lots of STRESS. Let me explain!

Happiness- We bought our first house and got moved in! It feels so amazing to actually own the house we're
in so we can fix it up, and not worry about what the landlord is going to say. We have done lots
of work on the house, and there is still lots more to be done. I will post before and after pictures
as soon as we complete at least 1 of the rooms. Its been so much fun to be able to do these
projects with my husband, even though it really feels like nothing is going right...its fun to be able
to do them together! We're re-finishing our hardwood floors in the living room and dinning room
as well as having to peel like 6 layers of paint and wall paper off the walls in our master rooom.
We are getting there though! We each have our own projects, and then the ones we are doing
                    together! L.O.V.E it!
Pain- The night before we moved into the house, Victor had to take me to the ER with Kidney Stones. The
Pain started at about 10:30 while we were moving a load over to the new house, and just got worse
until about 12:00 when Victor gave me a blessing, and then was prompted to take me in. I couldn't
stand up straight, and was screaming in pain. When we got to the ER it took them about an hour
before they could give me anything, and I wasn't very nice about it. The stones passed on Monday
but not before 2 days of lots of pain, pain pills, and throwing up. Not a fun way to move into a new
house! But we're in and loving it!
Stress- Last Friday, August 19, I had to have Victor drive me down to Cedar City to have a procedure
done to remove some pre-cancerous cells off my cervix. I was so out of it, I don't remember too
much, but I do know he took me to Cafe Rio after. They had me on Loritab, and Valum. Not a
good mixture for a lightweight like me! Everything went well during the procedure, and they got
all the cells removed. I have to go back in in a couple of weeks for a follow-up, but things should
be good. I was so grateful for my mother and father in law for coming over, helping with the house
helping cook, and clean! I'm so lucky!

The reason I titled this post AMAZEMENT is because 2 weeks ago I was totally LOVING life, then I got the call from the doctors saying they found these cells, and my world just did a total 180. I was scared that they wouldn't get all the cells, and just scared for the procedure itself. It's crazy how life can change so freaking fast.

OH WELL!!!!! I still have the most amazing husband, and I know I get to be with him, FOREVER...no matter what happens!

SOOOOOO much going on

Bryce Canyon

ok...so I sorta fail as a blogger...but I'm hoping that once you hear what has been going on, you might forgive me....if not, you can come visit, and there might be brownies! (Brownies have helped bribe people for the past couple weeks...still hoping they will work)

Victor & The Duke

alright....first of all, the Montana trip has been postponed due to mom being in the hospital again. We're hoping to be able to go out in October maybe...but we're not really sure now. I can't wait to see my nephew...and I'm pretty sure I would be considered one of the WORST aunts in history since I haven't seen him yet, and he was born the end of February. Instead of Montana Victor and I decided to celebrate our anniversary early and take the 3 days and go to the Grand Canyon. I went once when I was little with my grandma and poppy, but I couldn't remember ANYTHING about it. So since we live pretty close to it, we decided to take off. It was an amazing trip. We left Sunday morning, and went down to Bryce Canyon again, but we did some hiking this time. It's so pretty there. After we did Bryce Canyon, we drove down to Kanab, UT. Just a small little town right on the Utah, Arizona border. We went to the "Little Hollywood" museum there. It was pretty cool. It had a bunch of old Western movies sets, that were used in real movies. They included some sets that had John Wayne, and Clint Eastwood in them. And even though I've never seen any of the movies, Victor was pretty excited about them. He had to get his picture taken with "The Duke" just to show off!

Grand Canyon

Then Monday we drove the 1.5 hours to the Grand Canyon. I felt like a little kid on Christmas morning. The closer we got to the visitors center, and to the actual Canyon, the more excited I got. I got butterflies, and I was all jittery. Victor was laughing at me, but I was just so excited! I took hundreds of pictures, just because I wanted to bring as much home with me as I could. We did a little hiking there too, and we found this Wedding Site. They actually do real weddings at this spot, that overlooks part of the Canyon. It's pretty neat. We spent most of the day there, taking pictures, hiking, taking pictures, driving, taking pictures, talking, and taking pictures. I can't wait to blow some of them up, and frame them. I'll be famous in my own mind! haha.

Mountain Sheep

After the Grand Canyon we decided to go to Zions, since that's where we went on our Honeymoon, and we didn't have to be home till Wednesday. We drove the Zions that back way, and saw some Mountain Sheep right next to the road. It was so cool. We could have pet on of them, if they liked us! Then we went to St. George to see Lori, and the girls! It was so fun to see them. Those girls are so dang cute!
On Tuesday we decided to go back to Zions to do some more hiking. We hiked up the Narrows, which is the Virgin River. There were some spots in the river where I thought I was going down. Since I'm so short, I couldn't reach the bottom...and I just kept trying to float away. It was lots of fun though. Then we came home, cause we still had lots going on!

Wedding Site where the Bride and Groom would stand

Grand Canyon

When I say lots going on...what I really mean is, WE BOUGHT OUR FIRST HOUSE!!!!! That's right...we're finally home owners. I love our house! Right now we're painting, and still trying to move in. We closed last Tuesday, got the keys Thursday, and started moving Friday. However, we had a little set back when Victor had to take me to the ER Friday night with Kidney Stones. These dang stones just don't leave. They like to tease me, making me think they are gone, but NOOOOOO they're just playing. We finally got everything moved in on Saturday. It's so stressful not knowing where anything is, but it feels so nice knowing that its ours, and we can do what we want with it.
I also got to quit Wal*Mart, and go back to work full time at Rick's Richfield Monuments. I LOVE this job. I get to play on the computer working on Custom Artwork, working on people's headstones, and picking their stencils. It is really such a fun, different job. I love it!

Anyways, that's pretty much everything going on with us. I hope you're all doing well!!!! :)
